Chris Garvey is a native Nevadan and has lived in District B for the last 22 years. She and her husband of 31 years have three children, all of whom have attended Clark County District Schools. Chris is committed to improving the lives and education of our children, and she has been an advocate for class size reduction and common sense education reform long before she was elected to the Clark County School District Board of Trustees in November of 2008.

As an active member for the PTA during the valley's population boom of the 1990's, Chris was involved in the grass roots campaign for the school bond that, upon its completion, will produce 101 new schools and 11 replacement schools in Clark County. Through her various roles in PTA, both at her school and council level, she has also been an advocate for mandatory kindergarten, as well as finding solutions to zoning and safety issues.

As a dental health professional, Chris has continued her commitment to children and education by volunteering both in the classroom and in dental clinics for underserved children. If you would like to speak with Chris directly, she can be reached by phone at 702-279-9831 or through email at
